Writer Content Agreement
Last updated
What writers confirm every time they create a story or save a chapter on Moonlit: that the work is theirs to publish, and that they are responsible for it.
You own the work
By creating a story or saving a chapter you confirm that you wrote the content yourself, or that you hold every right needed to publish it on Moonlit, including the right to let Moonlit display, distribute, narrate and promote it.
You confirm the content does not copy, adapt or borrow from anyone else’s work without their written permission, and that you have not published it somewhere that would stop you granting Moonlit these rights.
You are responsible
You are solely responsible for the content you submit, including any claim that it infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights. Moonlit does not review content for ownership and is not liable for infringement by writers.
If you used AI tools to help write the content, you confirm you are allowed to use their output commercially and that it does not reproduce someone else’s work.
Honest ratings and warnings
You agree to set an accurate age rating and content warnings. Content that does not match its rating may be re-rated, hidden or removed.
Removal and takedowns
If someone credibly claims that your content infringes their rights, Moonlit may remove it without notice, suspend your author account, and withhold earnings while the claim is resolved.
You agree to cover Moonlit’s reasonable costs arising from a claim that your content infringes someone else’s rights.
Your confirmation is recorded
Each time you tick the confirmation box, Moonlit records that you agreed, who agreed and when. You can withdraw content at any time from your stories page.
